About Us

Baseball & Me is about making information about playing, coaching, umpiring and being a parent of baseball more accessible. We started in baseball as a kid, and then coached and watched kids as they grew up. Finally, when the kids were getting talented at the game we decided to learn how to umpire. We felt like this would give the kids an opportunity to learn a different part of the game and potentially separate them from someone of equal skill level in the future to provide them an advantage that most kids won’t have. How hard could it be? I mean, We were a WaterSki judge and towboat driver for many years at the National and International Level. It couldn’t be much harder than that, could it? While they are very different, there are alot of Human Interaction specifics that are very similar.

Welcome aboard and we hope to be able to share certain tidbits about the game that will help you to better understand it and share with your family.
